What is a Neighborhood Organizer?
A neighborhood organizer is a committed volunteer that is responsible for organizing their neighborhood on behalf of the Democratic Executive Committee (DEC). Organizers must complete a training conducted by the DEC and coordinate voter outreach efforts with the DEC’s campaign committee.

What is the DEC?
The Democratic Executive Committee is the governing body of the Democratic Party in Miami-Dade. The committee’s main function is to organize efforts in Miami-Dade County to support Democratic Candidates and officeholders.  

What is the Campaign Committee?
This campaign committee is composed of 13 Democratic Leaders that coordinate DEC mobilization efforts.

Why is this important?
We cannot win in 2020 without a robust Neighborhood Organizer program. In order to take back the White House, and to ensure we have Democrats at the county and municipal level, we need Organizers who are trained and active all across Miami-Dade.

We simply cannot win without you.

What are the expectations of a Neighborhood Organizer?
Neighborhood Organizers are expected to volunteer at least 6 hours a month (or 1.5 hour a week) to voter outreach efforts. This could include making phone calls, knocking on doors, attending community events, or registering voters.
